Seven Awesome Restaurants You Have to Experience in DFW
There might not be too much outdoor stuff to do in DFW, but there sure is a whole lot of variety when it comes to restaurants! We've been here since March 2021, and here are our favorite picks for amazing food experiences so far!
1. Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine

All you can eat Brazilian pizza.. need I say more? Sit down and enjoy being served different types of gourmet pizza slices! They have some classic flavors like cheese, pepperoni, and margarita, as well as some amazing traditional Brazilian and Portugese flavors like garlic picanha, chicken catupiry, truffle cheese, and many more delicious creations that will rock your socks off. They even have many dessert pizzas like their Nutella pizza, which is to die for.

Locations: South Lake, Plano, Dallas
Cost: $25 per plate on a Friday night
2. Sushi Damu
For those sushi lovers, Sushi Damu is a great all you can eat sushi option in north DFW that is both delicious, diverse, and not too expensive! They have all the classic rolls, plus dozens of creative rolls. They are impossible to try all in one visit.

Locations: Flower Mound, Frisco
Price: $27-$30 on a friday night
3. Billy Bob’s

Billy Bob’s is known as the ‘World’s Largest Honky-Tonk’. It is an iconic Fort Worth entertainment venue that includes a western style restaurant open every day of the week, live country and western concerts, professional indoor rodeo arenas, bars, line dancing lessons, pool tables, volleyball, and more. It is truly a classic Texas experience!

Location: North Fort Worth
Price: Entry price varies from $3-$10 throughout the week and includes entertainment and concerts. Bull riding tickets are $4.
4. Heim BBQ

Founded by Travis and Emma Heim, Heim BBQ is a DFW classic. They have a ‘farm to smoker’ approach to bbq and source the best quality meats cooked low and slow for delicious tastes. The vibe is casual and fun.

Locations: Fort Worth, Dallas, White Settlement
Price: $17-$25 average for an entre plate
5. El Paseo Mexican Restaurant

We often get asked about where to go for good authentic Mexican food. This restaurant is the best we have found here in Texas and it is absolutely delicious! They have a large menu, a nice restaurant, and great prices. Impossible to disappoint!

Location: Azle
Price: $20-$30 for an entre plate
6. Buc-Ee's!

Okay, I know it isn’t a restaurant, but if you are new to Texas, it is imperative that you go to a Buc-Ee's! It is far more than a gas station. Inside they have all kinds of hot meat sandwiches, desserts, snacks, gifts, home hardwares and deco, and so much more. We especially love their pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Buc-Ee's is an awesome experience for the whole family!

Price: $6 meat sandwiches
7. Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ
Ferris Wheelers is an iconic BBQ joint in the Dallas Design District. It has incredible food, a bar, a live music stage, and a ferris wheel in a cool back yard setting. It's an awesomely unique BBQ experience!

Location: Dallas
Cost: $15 for a basic plate
